The idea to establish LYRNI came about as two mothers and one of their sons, Saleh, in Kuwait confronted an unforeseen pandemic that shut down schools, along with everything else.
Saleh, a rising-senior at the time, worked with a private tutor from the US over Zoom who helped him improve his grades tremendously. Not only did the tutor help Saleh academically, he was also a great source of inspiration. Seeing how having access to exceptional educators impacts an individual’s learning experience, they wanted to extend this opportunity to people in their community. With online education becoming more so than ever the new norm, they reached out to other family members with experience in technology and finance to make their idea a reality.
